Lumina brings genetics, careful shepherding, precise forage finishing, and tight butchery specs together—so home cooks can reproduce reliable taste, tenderness and yield, season after season.
Farming & finishing
- Free-range, grass-fed lambs in New Zealand.
- Minimum 35 days finishing on specially cultivated chicory & clover forage for even marbling and mild flavour.
- EID-tagged animals for traceability and stock management.
Quality targets & handling
- Target pH < 5.8 for tenderness.
- Intramuscular fat (IMF) target: 3–4.5%.
- Fat cover target: 5–15 mm to protect during cooking.
- Aged ~21 days, then blast-frozen at −21 °C to lock peak condition and year-round consistency.
Provenance & assurance
- Brand ownership: Lumina is produced for export by Alliance Group in New Zealand (a farmer-owned co-operative).
- Traceability: EID tagging plus tight weight/spec criteria across cuts.
Halal note (Malaysia)
- We range SKUs packed at halal-certified plants for export; the halal mark appears on each product pack.
- Recognition of foreign halal certification bodies (FHCB) follows the **current JAKIM circular** (see latest list/PDF). As at 29 Aug 2025 the stated validity period is 3 years.
